When it seemed that the worst of DANA had already happened in the country’s capital, the strong storm throughout the night has caused numerous roadblocks in the Community of Madrid and the province of Toledo due to pools of water, overflowing rivers and trees fallen.

The Madrid Metro has not escaped the DANA either, since the torrential rains have affected several lines since yesterday, in which the service has been interrupted due to accumulation of water. This has been demonstrated by the Twitter user notlorenna, sharing some images of a flood in a Madrid Metro wagon.

The video. “Well, for a moment it crossed my mind that I was going to have to dive inside this space of five square meters,” says the user who shared the video on Twitter showing how the Madrid Metro wagon was floods on Line 5, at the height of the Marqués de Vadillo station.

Flood. As can be seen in the images, the water from the heavy rain creates a waterfall in the Metro car that quickly begins to filter under the door, flooding the entire floor. “Water began to fall through the subway windows. At first it was little, but then it began to fall through the ceilings and through the doors and the floor began to flood,” the user recounted in statements to ABC.

In numbers. An image about the effects of the DANA that has quickly gone viral on Twitter with more than two million views in a matter of hours, hundreds of thousands of ‘Likes’ and all kinds of comments about it.

Top comments. “I’ve seen tests of saw that are less scary than this”, “I’ve seen James Cameron movies with less water”, “Don’t leave Jack, Save him”, “I keep watching and I keep freaking out with this video… Mother of God ”, “It gives me an anxiety attack”, “That freaks you out”, “The last thing I do is start recording”, “It reminded me of Jurassic Park 2”, “Claustrophobia… It gives me something”, “ Have you managed to get out well? Or do we have to go look for you because you are on a board with a whistle? or “Please, how terrifying”, have been some of the most popular reactions.

Meanwhile, the Twitter user notlorenna has clarified in her own account that all the passengers who were on board the carriage are fine and that “the driver has been great and has taken us super slowly and well to the next station.”
