Hundreds of people have witnessed a movie scene early this afternoon in Bilbao. A man has been trapped under the wheels of a Bilbobus urban bus and, immediately afterwards, dozens of people have mobilized to push the vehicle and free it. The man has been able to be rescued and has been transferred to a hospital.
The events occurred in the Arenal park, next to the Old Town of the city, in the heart of the urban center. At around 2:00 p.m., a man was trapped under the wheels of a city bus that was parked at the stop next to the Arriaga Theater.
The accident has been witnessed by numerous witnesses, who have not hesitated to come to the man’s rescue, using force to push the bus in order to free it.
The man was able to be freed and, after receiving medical attention at the scene of the accident, he was transferred to a hospital by ambulance.
The accident and the rescue efforts have been captured by Asier Barrenetxea, a journalist who was in a nearby building.
