A few weeks ago, news broke that surprised everyone and everyone: Miguel Bosé, the renowned Madrid singer, was assaulted in his residence in Mexico City. The artist remained tied for two hours with his children and household staff, while a group of ten hooded men ransacked the house and left in their own vehicle. A case that has uncovered various unknowns and exposed figures hitherto unknown to the Spanish.

One of them is that of Inés Gómez Mont, a communicator who, according to many Mexican media, would have rented the home to Bosé during the last year. A name that may be unknown outside of Mexico and the United States, but that there is associated with a crime from which she has been fleeing since 2021. And the television presenter fled to the state of Florida with her husband to avoid the police Mexican.

Gómez Mont was accused two years ago of organized crime and money laundering, in addition to adding the arrest warrant against her that encouraged her to leave Aztec territory for Miami. The order was issued by the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Mexico, who was also looking for her for operations with resources of illicit origin, a figure that at the time amounted to 3,000 million pesos, about 150 million euros at the exchange rate.

The presenter, the businessman and his brother, Alejandro Álvarez Puga, would be involved in the use of shell companies to facilitate tax evasion for third parties, the diversion of public resources and money laundering. It was not until this month of August that Interpol intervened in the matter, issuing an international search and arrest warrant that covered more than 190 countries. Currently, Gómez Mont is still in Miami expressing his innocence.

In the more professional sphere, this Mexican communicator made her television debut in 2004, through programs such as Ventaneando or Los 25 más on TV Azteca. It was there that she met the man who would be her second husband, Manuel Álvarez Puga, who, like her, came from a family of lawyers. Both formed a large family, with seven children in total, before the investigations began and suspicions fell on both.

Returning to Miguel Bosé, there are theories and speculations from Mexico that directly link the presenter of the robbery in the mansion. “Now it is known that the assailants entered for documents, they did not want to say which documents, photographs and cash, so the theory is that Inés’s husband himself was the one who sent this command to get in to get things pending that he had inside the house”, reported the journalist Inés Moreno.
