The death of María Teresa Campos has shocked the entire Spanish society. The 82-year-old journalist was admitted to the Fundación Jiménez Díaz hospital in Madrid last Sunday after suffering from acute respiratory failure.

The uncertainty regarding his state of health was maximum and two days later we learned the sad news of his loss. The remains of the veteran journalist were transferred to the La Paz funeral home in the Madrid town of Tres Cantos, where a funeral chapel was installed so that her closest relatives and friends could say goodbye to her.

This same Wednesday morning, the presenter was cremated at the La Paz funeral home, after an intimate ceremony was held, attended only by her loved ones. Her family will transport the ashes of the veteran journalist to her homeland, Malaga, where she will be buried next to the remains of her mother and her sisters, at the express wish of the presenter. Her funeral is also scheduled to take place in Malaga.

Since the news broke yesterday, numerous famous faces have appeared on social networks or in different media to dedicate some nice words to the journalist. The last to do so was Consuelo Berlanga. The journalist has gone live on the Así es la vida program to tell one of the funniest anecdotes that she lived with María Teresa Campos.

”I’m sorry I couldn’t say goodbye to her because I’m not in Madrid. She didn’t have the chance to travel and I always say what a pity that people who take a little of my heart can’t say goodbye to me,” she confessed. ”I have seen María Teresa born as a star, as a professional on television,” she assured.

The journalist confessed that she had lived great moments with Campos and that one day she even peed on herself. ”I have peed on María Teresa Campos, for example. I can say that I really pissed myself laughing with María Teresa Campos,” she asserted. ”Stuck in a closet, making a theater. The two of us waiting in the closet for them to come open the door and find us both. And when they opened the door they found us both dying of laughter and more,” the journalist confessed.
