On September 6, the Badalona Urban Guard arrested a 39-year-old individual, of Serbian origin but with French nationality and an unexchanged Belgian driving license, for carrying a briefcase with 255,000 euros, of which 250,000 were counterfeit bills.
The network was uncovered due to a traffic violation when the criminal left his vehicle parked incorrectly. The agents observed that the license plate was manipulated and instead of a C it became an O, so they proceeded to remove the car.
While the tow truck arrived to remove the car, the Guàrdia Urbana patrol observed that inside there was a briefcase with 255,000 fake euros, of which 5,000 were authentic, so they proceeded to arrest him.
