The actor Gabriel Guevara was arrested in Venice on September 3 for an alleged crime of sexual assault. As reported by the Italian newspaper The Post Internazionale, the young man was in the city for the prestigious film festival when he was detained by the Italian police, spending the weekend in the police station and later released.

The 22-year-old actor is the only child of Marlène Mourreau and the Cuban dancer Michel Guevara, with whom he had a relationship until 2005. His mother has not rested since she found out about his arrest, especially because she has not been able to speak with him since he was released.

“I can’t talk to him but as soon as they give him the phone I will talk, his representative told me,” explained the actress and presenter, who explained that her son was “resting” and that they had decided to take the phone away from him so that he could focus on his new project.

Even so, the French woman has not stopped defending her son’s innocence. “I want justice to be done. The damage has been done and I am not going to forgive the person who did it,” she said. Apparently, Mourreau is completely sure who could have been the instigator of this whole matter.

“The person who did that hates me and has given me problems since I was little. It is a false accusation and this is going to go very far. The person who did that is going to fall,” said the star. Apparently, the person responsible for this event would be a family member with whom she currently has no contact. “That’s a story since I started to be famous in France and now it’s going after the child,” she said.

The young protagonist of Culpa mia  was arrested on September 3 for events that occurred in France in 2015, when the presenter’s son was a minor. Gabriel Guevara was acquitted of the accusations that this relative with whom they did not maintain contact made at the time, but the international arrest warrant was still in force in Italy due to a bureaucratic error – hence his arrest.

Days later, the presenter was able to contact her son. Visibly relieved, the artist broke her silence after “two weeks without eating or sleeping”: “You don’t know the relief of listening to your child after so long,” the star assured reporters.

As Marlène herself confirmed, this whole matter will finally and forever be put in order in a few days. However, she was very angry with the role of the Spanish Embassy for its lack of help. Furthermore, she reiterates that whoever is behind her only wants to take advantage of her son’s growing fame. “That is an invention and it is something of the person who wants to get money from you.”
