The Civil Guard has arrested a man for robbing a bank branch in the town of Cabañas de la Sagra (Toledo) at gunpoint, after threatening the only employee of the office, whom he urged to open the safe in the office. who stole 67,000 euros.

This violent robbery occurred at the end of August in the morning in this Toledo town, as reported by the Civil Guard in a statement.

A man with his face hidden by a mask and sunglasses entered the office armed with a gun and threatened the worker.

After taking the money from the safe, he forced the employee herself to clean the furniture where he had touched with a cloth and ammonia to eliminate possible fingerprints. A notice from a Local Police agent allowed the author to be identified.

The investigation fell to the Judicial Police Team of the Civil Guard of Illescas, which together with the ROCA Team and the Local Police of Cabañas began the search for the author of this robbery.

After just five days of robbing the bank, the alleged perpetrator did not hesitate to return to the branch dressed in a wig, sunglasses and a backpack to steal again.

This second robbery was foiled when the bank was closed, but it was decisive in finding the alleged thief. Upon returning to his car, he called the attention of an agent from the Cabañas Local Police.

This agent passed the notice to the Civil Guard investigators, who went to the place and verified that it was the person to whom the robbery that occurred days before was attributed.

After identifying him, the agents found characterization material and a simulated gun among his belongings. After this, the court hearing the case authorized the entry and search of the home.

Inside, three more simulated weapons, 25,000 euros in cash were located, as well as a multitude of masks, sunglasses and wigs to hide their identity in the robberies.

After his presentation before the judicial authority, his provisional entry into prison was ordered.
