Last Thursday marked one month since Daniel Sancho entered the Koh Samui prison, in Thailand, for the crime of Edwin Arrieta. Rodolfo Sancho’s son confessed to having murdered and dismembered the Colombian surgeon in early August. Until a few days ago, recreations of what happened at the scene were continued to tie up any loose ends.

The victim’s sister, Darlin Arrieta, went to the set of Mañaneros on Tuesday to offer her first and only live interview in Spain. Tired and nervous, Arrieta asked for justice for her brother and wanted to make it clear that many Spanish media outlets “have not been sensitive and humane with the situation” they are experiencing as a family.

Among other things, Darlin addressed what happened in the first hours when he did not know where his brother was. Desperate, she decided to search on social media to see who Edwin’s acquaintances could be in Thailand. After an extensive search, she found Daniel Sancho’s contact, and did not hesitate to start a conversation.

Now, the Mañaneros program has had access to these first messages. “Hello Darlin. I don’t know anything about him either. I’ve been trying to get in touch with him,” Daniel Sancho responded to the messages received by the victim’s sister. “Whaaat,” she replied.

But that is not all. Rodolfo Sancho’s son began to relate a series of facts that do not coincide with what the police later discovered. “We were on Haad Rin beach. He left alone. And I can’t find him. I have called him a thousand times and there is no way to find him. I didn’t know who to contact,” the accused continued.

Given this, Darlin Arrieta could not do anything other than write “My God” on several occasions. “Something happened to my brother,” Arrieta assured him. “I’m going to report it. Do you know where we were? On the island of Koh Phangan. That’s my cell phone, you can call me on WhatsApp. I’m going to take a shower and go to the police. I thought there was something wrong with me and that’s why he didn’t answer me. “My God,” the confessed murderer continued.

Although these messages have come to light now, a month ago others were published that he had with a friend of Edwin Arrieta when he went to the police. After assuring her that she would go to report what happened, Daniel Sancho wrote to her again: “They have me detained asking me many questions.”

”I don’t believe you. What a scare. “Can’t you imagine where he could be?” the surgeon’s friend responded. “I don’t know what to tell you. I just know that I hope he’s fine,” the accused added. Some messages that occurred shortly after those he had with Edwin’s sister.
