The former presidents of the government and of the PP José María Aznar and Mariano Rajoy will participate in the “open event” that the PP has called in Madrid to, among other things, express the rejection of the PP to “any approach that involves treating in a different way to the citizens of one territory or another”, in reference to the amnesty that the popular people suspect that Pedro Sánchez is willing to grant to the independentists to achieve the investiture.

An act that, beyond the criticism it has raised in the socialist ranks, has also provoked ridicule from the PSOE. In this sense, the Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, recalled that tomorrow that Feijóo should be working for his investiture but instead “he dedicates himself to talking about the PSOE and even calls for who knows what, whatever he has told him.” Aznar so that there is no talk of his investiture failure.” These statements have had their translation in an ironic message from the PSOE on the social network X. formerly Twitter.

The PSOE asks network users what is “according to your criteria and what you see in the news” what the PP has called, and gives four response options: A rally, a demonstration, a rally or a festival.

The event, which was initially scheduled to be held in Plaza España in Madrid, will finally take place on Avenida Felipe II in the capital due to capacity and availability issues, as reported by PP sources, who recall that it will take place within 48 hours. to begin the investiture debate of Alberto Núñez Feijóo, who will take the opportunity to define some of the priorities that will mark his speech in Congress and defend equality among Spaniards.

In this regard, sources from the PP warn of the risk that the PSOE agrees to amnesty the politicians who “challenged the State, erase the legal consequences of the process and entertain those who challenged Spain will have the express rejection of the candidate, who will remember that his proposal will be diametrically different.” Feijóo will advance what he would do with his country if he had the possibility of being president, but also what he would never do to preside over the Government of Spain, these sources indicate.

In addition to Aznar and Rajoy, the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, and all the regional barons of the PP have also confirmed their presence in an event that Feijóo called shortly after Aznar called for a “civic and institutional” mobilization against the negotiations between the PSOE and the independence movement that could lead to an amnesty when it is understood that “an operation to dismantle the Constitution, destroy its legitimacy and reverse a great success story” is underway.
