The house of GH VIP 8 is once again full of tenants, who will fight to win over the audience of the successful Telecinco program. Everyone is there except Javier Fernández, the award-winning Spanish skater, who could not join his teammates due to force majeure, although his participation in the reality show is not in danger, as announced by presenter Marta Flich.

According to the X account @hieloespañol, the athlete is these days “in Montreal to serve as coach at the Autumn Classic.” As soon as that work commitment ends, Fernández will join the rest of his colleagues, predictably, at the end of this week.

Despite his absence at last Thursday’s gala, the skater wanted to send a message through his social networks, in which he assured that he “really wants” to live the experience with his teammates in Guadalix de la Sierra.

Marta Flich surprised everyone at the initial gala by announcing the participation of the Spanish champion in the contest. “Seven-time European champion, two-time world champion, Olympic medalist and wants to be ‘Big Brother VIP’ champion,” the presenter announced to put the finishing touch to a gala full of surprises and emotions.

Fernández is one of the 17 contestants of this new edition of GH VIP: Sol Macaluso, Oriana Marzoli, Karina, Laura Bozzo, Zeus Montiel, Carmen Alcayde, Pedro García Aguado, Pilar Llori, Luca Dazi, Michael Terlizzi, Albert Infante, Jessica Bueno , Gustavo Guillermo, Luitingo, Marta Castro and Susana Bianca. All of them have already been in the house since last Sunday.
