Montcada i Reixac (Vallès Occidental) will host the new Barcelona Pet Shelter Center (CAACB). The works will begin in November, after the City Council’s Ecology, Urban Planning, Mobility and Housing Commission has definitively approved it.
The initiative was initially approved unanimously last March and has not received any allegations in the public exhibition phase. This Tuesday it received definitive support from all municipal groups, except Vox.
The complex will have capacity for 350 dogs and 150 cats. It will replace the current facilities on the Arrabassada road, which dates back to 1972 and presents, according to the council, “structural limitations and deficiencies.”
