The crime committed by the Urban Police continues to make headlines. The murder that took place six years ago has become a trending topic after the premiere of the series The Body on Fire on Netflix, which was followed by the documentary The Tapes of Rosa Peral.

The protagonist of the crime, Rosa Peral, was convicted along with her lover Albert López for murdering her partner, a colleague named Pedro Rodríguez, in May 2017. Peral has been serving her sentence since then, but her family has taken advantage of the media hype to fight for her defense. Francisco Peral, father of the murderer, visited Y Ahora Sonsoles this Wednesday afternoon to shed light on the most controversial case of the year.

The Sonsoles Ónega program has offered an exclusive interview with Francisco Peral, Rosa’s father. The man has revealed having problems facing the cameras at first, but he has not hesitated to defend the innocence of his daughter.

During his time on the Antena 3 program, Francisco revealed why Rosa chose to settle down with Pedro Rodríguez and not with Albert. According to the father, Albert did not want Rosa’s daughters to live with him, something that the alleged murderer could not let go.

Francisco has also taken the opportunity to attack those who call his daughter a murderer, with Sonsoles who at all times has empathized with her guest. “They beat him with a hammer, with evil… And I only ask that if anyone has seen my daughter’s punishment, the trial and everything, if they check, they will see that there is no evidence against her, it is all assumptions,” he says. .

Finally, the man has insisted on the innocence of his daughter, who is serving a 25-year sentence. “Rosa was there because it was her house, she wasn’t there by chance. And the other man is the one who came and jumped the fence and then wanted to get away with it. That you plot a murder in your own house is illogical (… .) I am going to continue fighting and as long as I live I will be there,” he concluded.
