These are not easy days for some television presenters. For Sandra Barneda they are not, as we saw this Wednesday in This is Life. The death of María Teresa Campos has been a hard blow for the Catalan journalist, who had a strong bond with the veteran communicator.
In fact, during the interview she did with Carmen Borrego on Wednesday afternoon, Barneda could not hold back her tears and ended up crying live before the testimony of what is now her partner. At the end, both merged in an emotional hug. “Welcome, really. We want you here,” Barneda told Borrego.
It all happened when Carmen Borrego gave an interview prior to joining the program Así es la vida as another collaborator and spoke in these terms about her mother María Teresa Campos. “She has been everything in my life, I have been happy working with her, supporting her and I have had bad times, but if I know something about this profession it is because of her,” she revealed.
An emotion that translated into tears when watching the moments he had shared with his mother on television. “She will be my light, my professional reference as a mother and as a person,” said Borrego. “She accompanies you and continues to accompany you,” Sandra Barneda also told him very excited and unable to contain her tears.
“I am convinced that yes, that our happiness will be your happiness. She will be proud that we continue working and taking care of her legacy,” added the Telecinco presenter, who also made a confession. Barneda stated that as soon as he saw Borrego he was reminded of María Teresa’s “smell” and asked her what she had felt at moments like opening her closet.
“It still has not arrived. It has to come, we haven’t had time either because we haven’t stopped and that moment has to come and I don’t know how I’m going to face it,” Borrego responded. Minutes later, Barneda wanted to receive his new collaborator with an emotional hug and with some nice words: “Hugs are important. Welcome, really. “We want you here.”
