Ana Rosa Quintana began her new television career last Monday, September 18, with Telecinco’s new afternoon show, TardeAR. This new space, presented by the journalist, came to the Fuencarral network as the replacement for Sálvame, after the new management team decided to end the format after more than fourteen years occupying the afternoon slot.

A surprising decision that left no one indifferent and that was the subject of criticism for several months. Despite the initial impact, the board of directors of the audiovisual group had already decided to bet on Ana Rosa Quintana with a new topical space. Therefore, this past Monday all eyes were on the start of TardeAR.

The space has not yet completed its first week on air, but it seems that the news and surprises are far from over. During Wednesday’s show, Quintana interviewed Lolita. Moments later, the presenter offered her to join the team as a collaborator and the actress accepted the position. Therefore, starting next week we will be able to see Rosario Flores’ sister sitting at the discussion table in the current affairs space.

But now we have also learned that Ana Rosa Quintana will not present the program on Fridays. As revealed by the media outlet El Plural, the presenter will be absent during the last day of the week, just as she previously did in the last stage of the now completed Ana Rosa Program.

The main reason for this decision would be related to his state of health. And when the presenter returned to television, after suffering and overcoming cancer, she confessed to the media that her return had to be progressive, just as the doctors had advised her. For this reason, the journalist was absent from the morning program every Friday. A practice that will be repeated in the afternoons in this new television space.

Those in charge of hosting the program in the absence of Ana Rosa Quintana will be Beatriz Archidona and Jorge Luque, the two co-presenters of the program who accompany the journalist every afternoon.
