At six in the morning, the Mossos d’Esquadra raided several homes in Badalona to arrest two minors related to a multiple rape of a minor that occurred on June 3 in Badalona. Those arrested were placed at the disposal of the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office this morning. The operation was carried out by the UCAS, the Central Unit Against Sexual Assaults.

The attack occurred in an open field in Badalona, ??near the beach, on Avinguda Eduard Maristany, and was carried out by a group of six to seven minors, and some adults, among whom was the victim’s boyfriend. All of them are residents of the Sant Roc neighborhood of Badalona. At first, the police identified four of the aggressors but they cannot be charged because they are under 14 years old. According to what they told the police, it was the victim’s boyfriend who invited them to rape the minor together. Some even recorded the attack with their mobile phones. Furthermore, according to police sources, some of the attackers who participated in this violation have also committed other violations in the Màgic shopping center in Badalona.

A witness who was passing by witnessed the events and notified the police who mobilized several patrol cars. Upon seeing the appearance of the Mossos, the attackers fled in a stampede. The young woman suffered an anxiety attack as soon as she began to explain the attack she had suffered at the Can Ruti hospital. The minor explained that she had been raped with penetration by eight young men.

Although the police do not detail the involvement of the two detainees in other criminal acts, police sources confirm that the group formed by the six or seven young people under investigation, most of them minors, some of them would also be related to other sexual assaults in Badalona. , especially those that took place in the Màgic shopping center, now a year ago.

In the last year, the Mossos have identified 20 minors for their participation in eight multiple rapes committed in Badalona. Most of the authors are under 14 years of age, so they will not assume any criminal responsibility.
