A week after his disappearance, the UME located this Friday, with the help of its dogs, the lifeless body of the cyclist who disappeared last Friday morning in Paterna. The event occurred when he was leaving work around 10:30 a.m. last Friday because he had a medical appointment and about fifteen minutes later he passed through the Paterna ravine where there was flooding. Although they told him not to pass, “he is from here, he knew the area and it is clear that he ventured further than was appropriate and the water took him away,” his relatives confirmed this past week.

The victim has been located in an area between the last dam of Quart de Poblet and the mouth, an area known as the La Partimenta dam. The National Police is now taking charge of the body, as confirmed by the Valencia Provincial Firefighters Consortium.

Since last Friday, a large operation involving firefighters, BRIFO brigades, command units, with an Advanced Command Post and communications operators working on the search had been enabled.

The Special High Height Rescue Group, a helicopter and the drone unit of the Fire Consortium, as well as forest firefighters from the Generalitat Valenciana, had also intervened, participating intensively in the investigation along with the rest of the emergency services deployed in the area.
