Sad news for the environment of actor Pepón Nieto. His father, José Nieto Navas, died this Thursday in Marbella, his hometown, according to the newspaper El Español. The news has shocked the artist’s fans, since they were not aware that his mother had some type of illness.

As published by the aforementioned media, the deceased will be cremated this Friday, September 22 at 12:30 p.m. in the San Bernabé cemetery. Minutes before, a funeral mass will be celebrated to honor his memory.

Pepón Nieto is one of the most popular faces on the small screen in our country thanks to his participation in series such as Amar es para siempre, Periodistas, Los Hombres de Paco or Smiley. However, we don’t know much about him.

The artist has always set an iron limit when it comes to personal matters, which is why not many details are known about his personal life, his origins or his relationship with his family and friends.

What is known to everyone is that he is a very sensitive person, which is why his followers are especially worried about him and how he can cope with this difficult loss.

At the moment the causes of the artist’s father’s death are unknown, but Nieto uploaded a post to his official Instagram account yesterday for World Alzheimer’s Day and wrote a title that seems to reveal some clues.

”Even though I no longer know who I am. I do know who he is,’ wrote the friend of Paco Tous and Bibiana Fernández in the post that he shared with his more than 155,000 followers on the photography and video platform.

Although all eyes are on the actor right now and how he reacts to the terrible event, he has not yet spoken on social media about his father’s death.

In an interview he gave at the beginning of the year, Nieto confessed in a comical tone that his father doubted when he told him that he wanted to dedicate himself to acting: ”My father told me ‘but, how are you going to be an actor with how ugly and Fat are you?’ He didn’t do it with any malice, an uncle who owned a bar said it and his son confessed to him that he wanted to be an actor; “At that time, those who succeeded were results.” In the same conversation, the Andalusian expressed that, despite his uncertainty, he never felt restricted by his parents.
