The Generalitat has started the procedures to authorize the construction of a photovoltaic plant with 124,908 solar panels in Flix (Ribera d’Ebre).

The Sanmad Sonne 3 business group, with headquarters in Cabanillas del Campo (Guadalajara), has fragmented the macroproject into four solar parks under the name of Flix-Ascó photovoltaic solar plant II, III, IV and V.

The developer has created four different companies to carry out the plant: Sanmad Sonne 3 Alcornoque, Sabina, Roble and Encina; all of them with the same registered office.

The budget for the four parks is more than 10,000,000 euros for each one, amounting to 44,682,097 euros in total. Now there are 35 days to present allegations.

The Flix-Ascó II solar photovoltaic plant will add 30,828 photovoltaic solar panels and will have an installed power of 22 megawatts peak, in addition to a 6.1 km buried high voltage line. The Flix-Ascó III, IV and V plants will each have 31,360 plates.

The affected owners are mainly individuals, the Generalitat of Catalonia and the Flix City Council.
