The Promesa schedule will change forever starting this week. The successful soap opera from La 1 will have to share the afternoon schedule with La Moderna, the public channel’s latest bet that will hit the small screen this Wednesday.
Last week, TVE offered a double episode of La Promesa: the usual one at 4:30 p.m. and another at 5:30 p.m., saving room for the next historical series, whose premiere will take place tomorrow in prime time on La 1.
Given this change, viewers wondered what the order of the two series would be, so TVE has dispelled doubts: starting Thursday, La Moderna will be broadcast at 4:30 p.m. and La Promesa will follow right after, at 5:30 p.m.
Right after this dramatic mini marathon, La 1 will broadcast La Plaza (6:30 p.m.), Jordi González’s new program, followed by the popular contest El Cazador (7:30 p.m.) and Aqui la tierra (8:30 p.m.).
This unexpected decision by the public network makes its star series compete directly with TardeAR, Ana Rosa Quintana’s program on Telecinco, which is broadcast from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
After this change, La Promesa and TardeAR will coincide for an hour and a half on the television schedule, while the novel will face the Sonsoles Ónega program for 30 minutes, since the latter does not air until 6:00 p.m.
