The seventh edition of Sea Otter Europe Costa Brava-Girona Bike Show by Continental has closed a great weekend for cycling with a record number of 112 countries represented, among visitors and cyclists who have participated in the different races. An indicator that far exceeds last year’s 62 nationalities and highlights the international scope of the event, which for three days filled the city, the Girona district and the Costa Brava, a territory that greatly values ??the economic impact of Sea Otter Europe.
The event has exceeded the figure of 65,000 visitors, even above the more than 58,000 of last year’s edition. The general evaluation is very positive and the Sea Otter is establishing itself as the great European meeting point between the cycling industry with its final public and all fans of this sport.
Once again, important brands such as Shimano, Komoot and Vaude made an appearance. Also a large number of tourist destinations such as La Vall D’Aran, the Valencian Community or Asturias were present to stand out as cycleable spaces. The Sea Otter has once again been transversal.
The expansion of the Sea Otter Europe exhibition area has made it possible to comfortably assume a new growth in space for the cycling festival, which this year has hosted 405 brands from all over the world that have shown their products these days in more than 250 bike stands, electric bikes, accessories and technology applied to cycling.
The response to the competitive calendar has also been at a high level, with almost 6,000 cyclists who have filled out the dozen organized races of different modalities and which have had a large audience.
And one more year, the Demobike formula has proven to be one of the most attractive proposals of Sea Otter Europe. During the three days of the festival there have been nearly 4,000 outings to test different bicycle models from all segments, MTB, gravel, road and also those designed for moving around the city.
This closes the most massive edition of this cycling festival that is already working on the new edition that will be held again in Gerona and the Costa Brava, from September 20 to 22, 2024.
