A pizza with extra cheese. This was the ‘special request’ that a woman made in a call to the Local Police of Seville and that ended up saving her. She was the victim of an episode of gender violence. The man, with numerous criminal records, including sexual abuse, kept her at home and was very upset. The strange request and the expertise of the 092 agent who picked up the phone that day ruled out the idea that it was a joke. She quickly alerted the National Police.
During the communication, the member of the local security force managed to obtain relevant information about the victim’s situation. “Are you in danger?” he asked. “Yes, with extra cheese,” he responded in an encrypted message, as ABC points out. During the conversation, the official could hear the man’s screams but at a certain moment the call was cut off, as this newspaper has learned. It was then that the local police contacted this other national security body to report what had happened.
The National Police agent returned the call to the phone provided by his partner and, upon detecting the woman’s nervousness, decided to impersonate the food delivery restaurant. This is how he made sure that he was, almost 100% sure, in a case of gender violence. He managed to obtain the address of the house from where this order was being made, in the South Industrial Estate of the capital of Seville, and two plainclothes agents went there willing to make a delivery somewhat different from that expected by the aggressor.
The SOS launched by this woman took place on April 2, as reported by the spokesperson for the National Police, Sonia Pereañe, and ended with the man’s arrest for the alleged commission of a crime of illegal detention, injuries and threats.
Apparently, the woman had met him through social networks and in this meeting the man had attacked her.
According to what has emerged, the local agent who assisted the woman is an experienced official with an extensive career in the force and has already received congratulations from his superiors for the good work done, given that other calls are received at this number. informing or alerting about events that do not correspond to reality or that are simply part of a joke in very bad taste.
