A drone piloted by a foreign tourist crashed this morning into the tower of the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba, a World Heritage Site, without causing any damage to the structure.

Sources from the Cathedral Chapter of Córdoba have explained to EFE that the event took place around 10 in the morning when a security guard noticed the presence of the small drone, already crashed on the ground, so he proceeded to collect it to put it in the custody of the National Police, which has investigated what happened.

The sources have specified that the device has collided with the lower part of the tower wall, so no material or personal damage has been recorded.

According to the investigation, the owner of the drone is a foreign citizen who has lost control of it, which has caused it to collide with the building, an environment where unauthorized flight is prohibited.
