Melania Trump doesn’t want things to take her by surprise with her husband, Donald Trump. Nobody gave a damn for him back in 2016, when she won the election against Hillary Clinton against all odds and became president of the United States. A role that made Melania First Lady, with all that that entails, even more so if we take into account the multiple scandals involving her husband.

From the beginning it was clear that the former Slovak model did not want to know anything about this new role that she had to play, and proof of this was the constant public slights she made to her husband. Therefore, when he announced that she was running again, he chose to make things clear: if there was a new campaign, there would also be more benefits for her.

As confirmed by the Page Six portal, Melania would have already gotten down to work regarding a possible re-election of her husband as tenant of the White House. To do this, the Slovak would have renegotiated her premarital agreement, which they both signed when they married in 2005.

According to the sources consulted by the aforementioned portal, the agreement would have been developed in recent months, but not because the businessman’s wife is setting conditions for a possible divorce – as was rumored years ago – but “to obtain and maintain a larger trust for their son, Barron,” the 17-year-old couple’s only child together.

In addition to ensuring the future of her offspring, the model would also have requested to increase her fortune and current number of properties.

It would not be the first time that Melania Trump has made this type of request to her husband, as she had already renegotiated this agreement in 2017, just after beginning her term in the White House. This new renegotiation, however, would also be given by the recent problems of Trump, who just two days ago was found guilty of continued fraud for inflating the value of the assets of the Donald Trump Organization for years, to obtain economic advantages.

A move with which Melania wants to ensure the future of her son and her own, given the problems – and the number of legal bills and electoral campaigns – that her husband has been facing in recent months.

The former president’s wife would have obtained a new agreement in exchange for remaining by his side after being convicted of sexual abuse of the writer and journalist Jean Carroll inside the changing rooms of a Manhattan department store in the spring of 1996. The magnate and politician Republican also defamed his victim by calling her a liar, and for all this he will have to compensate her with about 5 million dollars. Trump has already called the verdict a “disgrace” and has filed an appeal.
