Kevin Spacey has returned to the public sphere after being acquitted of nine of the charges of sexual abuse that were accused of him for several incidents that occurred between 2001 and 2013. The actor has claimed to have lived a real hell during these years, and is willing to recover the time lost in your personal and professional life.

In a first step towards returning to cinema, the actor was invited to the closing ceremony of the Tashkent International Film Festival, in Uzbekistan, last Monday. Kevin Spacey was giving his speech when he recounted the horrible experience. He was visiting the Afrasiyab Museum, in Samarkand, when he suddenly felt his arm go numb. The rest of the ceremony passed without incident, with Spacey congratulating the festival’s creators and directors on their work; in addition to applauding and celebrating the organization’s efforts to give voice to new generations of storytellers for the big screen.

Since he was acquitted of the charges against him, Spacey seems to have decided to take a radical turn in his life. The actor already assured that he planned to resume his career, largely thanks to his loyal followers, who have been by his side in all parts of this process.

“We live in a time in which many people are afraid because if they defend me, they will be canceled,” said the actor in a recent interview, the first since he was declared acquitted; about his career, “I know there are people who right now are prepared to hire me the moment I am acquitted of these charges that I am accused of in London. The moment that happens, they are prepared to move on.”

Projects that could arrive in the near future, if their nightmare finally ends. I feel like I’m at the beginning of my career, when no one wanted me. Just because I’ve been on the bench for a season, I’m not going to stop working,” he insists, “I’m not going to get rusty. I’m ready”.

At the moment, he is writing scripts for short films, but he assures that he will not write about his experience after being accused of sexual abuse.
