Leonor de Borbón, who is currently completing her first period of military training at the Zaragoza Academy, will travel to Madrid to attend the national holiday events with the Kings. It will be the first time that she is at the Royal Palace reception, but not in the gallery since, since the proclamation of the King, in 2014, she and her sister, Sofía, have been in the gallery. Leonor was absent in 2021 and 2022 due to her being in Wales studying the International Baccalaureate at Atlantic College, which is why Infanta Sofía will be absent this year. This Friday, and as a prior act to the flag oath, Princess Leonor, along with the rest of the cadets of the Military Academy, will participate in the traditional floral offering to the Virgin of Pilar in Zaragoza. It is a voluntary act to which the ladies and gentlemen cadets go to the Basilica of Pilar, in Zaragoza, with the gala uniform to ask for protection from the virgin.
