The dizziness of a driver of a vehicle with chauffeured transport (VTC) has caused his car to become stuck in the stairs of the central Plaza de Malasaña, in Madrid. No person has been run over, nor has the person traveling in the car suffered any serious injuries, except for a minor blow. And the scare.

This is a unique accident that has already occurred in this area of ??Madrid: transport vehicles with drivers have been stuck up to five times in the Plaza de Malasaña because they probably followed the GPS instructions, which suggest the turn in San Andrés Street, at the next intersection.

The accident that occurred this Tuesday has been reported by El Diario.es, which with data from Somos Malasaña has corroborated that it is not the first time it has happened. Normally, cars get stuck on the access stairs to the Plaza Dos de Mayo moat, located in the southern part. On this occasion, “the driver suffered dizziness and the car went away and ended up trapped on the stairs. He was carrying a passenger, who was not injured,” a Municipal Police spokesperson told La Vanguardia.

Somos Malasaña has two documented accidents in this place, which would be the third. In addition, the local police have two others listed, making it actually five. Sources from the Municipal Police defend that “each case is different.”

The problem is that drivers try to get the car out without resorting to emergency services to avoid the fine when entering a pedestrian zone. Normally, accidents occur at night and since there have been no injuries among the VTC occupants, nor have any passers-by been run over, the incident is avoided. On other occasions, the accident has occurred due to some problem on the part of the driver. This is what happened in this Tuesday’s accident.
