The common people want the next Government of the Generalitat to have a clear progressive character, and therefore to have the support of the left-wing parties, but not of Junts, nor of the PP, nor of course, of the rest of the far-right parties. Its priority is an agreement different from the one that has taken place in recent years, where the post-convergents and their predecessors have been protagonists, and which has not occurred in Catalonia since the time of the tripartite. Of course, Jéssica Albiach’s party warns that if they are part of that pact for a progressive Government they will keep the Hard Rock and the expansion of the airport as red lines.

Albiah has outlined his policy of pacts in several events this Monday. First, in an interview on RNE, where he has launched his main call: “I call on CUP, PSC and ERC to reach an agreement and conspire to say that the next Government that Catalonia has will be progressive. And it will be progressive because of the forces that make it happen.” will make up and for the policies that we carry out”. At the same time, the leader has made it clear that on her part it will not be because in no case will she facilitate an eventual Catalan Executive of Junts.

Nor has he committed to ERC and PSC in the event that Aragonès and Salvador Illa require the votes of the commons to govern because in his opinion they defend “a fairly similar country model,” he lamented, although the commons maintain this policy of pacts usually, as has been the case in Barcelona City Council. The determining factor for the Comuns Sumar candidate are the policies carried out by the next Government, and here, Albiach has established himself as a guarantee that these policies will have a truly progressive character, that is, aligned with social needs such as housing, health and, above all, the ecological transition.

That is why Albiach later traveled to El Prat de Llobregat, a municipality governed by his number two on the lists, Mayor Lluís Mijoler, where the party has presented the candidates for Barcelona for the Catalan elections of 12-M. From the Llobregat delta, Albiach warned that the deputies who win his candidacy will be a guarantee that the next Government truly takes these priorities into account, and that is why he reiterated his commitment that if they are needed to form a government they will return. to put the extension of the Barcelona airport as a red line, as well as the Hard Rock projected in Tarragona.

“With the commons in the Government there will be no expansion of the airport,” said the candidate, who has also criticized the last governments that Catalonia has had because, in her opinion, they have acted as if the Catalan Administration “were a lobby agency.” “. “They have given up putting together a project for a modern and ambitious country, exercising all the self-government that we have in our hands,” Albiach lamented.

For his part, Mijoler has indicated that “Catalonia needs a change of course, and this will only be possible if the common people are in the Government” because they have demonstrated that “when we are governing is when things happen” and the necessary transformations are promoted. .

The pre-campaign news also involves the desire of the Junts candidate, Carles Puigdemont, to hold an electoral debate in French territory, since the former president has settled in Elna and cannot cross the border at the risk of being detained. While the PSC refuses to hold a debate outside of Catalonia, as already pointed out by the party’s deputy first secretary of organization and campaign director, Lluïsa Moret, the commons do not present obstacles to the idea of ??the Junts candidate. Party sources assure that they are in favor of debating with whoever and wherever, while Illa has stressed that he will only attend debates that are organized in Catalonia, “it would be more necessary,” she added.
