The Government Delegation in Madrid will activate a security device made up of almost 1,900 troops for the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals that Real Madrid and Manchester City will play this Tuesday, at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, starting from 9:00 p.m.

This meeting has been classified as high risk by the Anti-Violence Commission and the operation, which will be in charge of monitoring the areas surrounding the stadium to prevent incidents, will be made up of National Police agents from the Police Intervention Unit, the Special Unit of Cavalry and the Provincial Information Brigade; of the Municipal Police of Madrid; components of Samur-Civil Protection; of the Fire Department; members of the Red Cross, and security guards and assistants from the football club itself.

For this match, 4,100 English fans with tickets are expected to attend, in a stadium where 76,000 spectators will gather. To speed up the work of the agents, all stadium attendees are recommended to arrive in advance to pass the established security checks.

Likewise, the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals to be played tomorrow, Wednesday, April 10, between Atlético de Madrid and Borussia Dortmund, at the Cívitas Metropolitano stadium, starting at 9:00 p.m., has been scheduled. The Government Delegation expects the attendance of 3,800 German fans with tickets to a stadium that will be close to full, with 68,000 seats sold. To speed up the work of the agents, all attendees at the Atlético de Madrid stadium are recommended to arrive in advance to pass the established security checks.
