The Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested a man for sexually assaulting his daughter in a family caravan. According to journalist Anna Punsí and confirmed by La Vanguardia, the 37-year-old victim reported the incident on October 15 at the Vilanova i la Geltrú police station.
The father, 57 years old and a resident of Subirats (Alt Penedès), would have abused his daughter since she was six years old, when he started touching her. It was from the age of 12 when the rapes began, according to the victim.
After many years of silence, intimidated by her father, the woman has decided to take the step and report him. The arrested man was brought to justice on the 17th. Another of his daughters also reported him in 2006 for sexual assault, but the man was acquitted because the current victim, at that time terrified, gave another version of the events.
