This Tuesday, Maritime Rescue rescued the lifeless body of a man after his boat sank near the coast of La Línea de la Concepción (Cádiz).
According to Maritime Rescue sources, the action occurred after the Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (CCS) of Tarifa (Cádiz) received a call at 6:55 a.m. from a fishing boat alerting that a man had fallen to the water near the coast of the Cadiz municipality.
The Salvamar Denébola boat and the Helimer 223 Maritime Rescue helicopter, as well as the Río Belelle boat of the Civil Guard, have traveled to the site.
Finally, the Salvamar Denébola located the man’s lifeless body floating at 8:05 and found his small fiber boat sunken shortly after.
The body has been transferred to the port of La Atunara and the Civil Guard has opened an investigation to clarify the incident, although it has not yet been possible to determine whether it was a fisherman or a pleasure boat.
