The multinational Aktrion Group will locate the first national technological center to support electric vehicles in the facilities of the Juan Carlos I Park in Almussafes (Valencia), which will involve an investment of more than half a million euros and the hiring of 30 qualified technicians.

Currently, Aktrion Group already has facilities in the Juan Carlos I Park in Almussafes, which has made the corporation decide to choose this territory, as reported by the company in a statement.

Aktrion Group plans to open this center during the first quarter of 2024, conceived as a multifunctional technological space that will offer a wide range of services aimed at guaranteeing the quality of all types of vehicles, mainly electric. After this opening, the multinational will open similar centers in Barcelona and Madrid.

This facility specialized in electric and sustainable mobility will have a multidisciplinary team of engineers focused on electric vehicle batteries, both automobiles and any other individual or collective mobility system.

In this way, it will offer analysis, diagnosis, repair, maintenance and reconditioning services for batteries and systems of mainly electric and hybrid vehicles, but also combustion and their charging infrastructures.

At this time, Aktrion Group technicians in Spain already collaborate with battery and fuel cell suppliers, manufacturers and infrastructure developers.

According to Vicent Noverjes, director of the European Region of Aktrion Group, “we want these facilities to become an extension of both the original equipment manufacturers (OEM), as well as the manufacturers of batteries or any mobility system or component for review, reconditioning, diagnosis or repair”.

“And also in collaborators of companies with vehicle fleets, leasing and renting companies and, of course, level 1 and 2 automotive suppliers who are also working on the components of electric and hybrid vehicles,” he noted.

Noverjes considers that, with this type of facilities, “Aktrion Group aligns itself with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and with the decarbonization goals set by the authorities and that are transforming mobility.”

Before the opening in Valencia, the Belgian city of Sint Niklaas will host the first of these European technology centers. The inauguration is scheduled for December 2023 and an investment of one million euros is confirmed for facilities of 30,000 square meters.

This center already has an autonomous tunnel for detecting defects using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, 360 vehicle photography equipment, a comprehensive vehicle and electric battery repair center, paint booths and body repair.
