The Promise has returned to the small screen one more afternoon with an episode full of goodbyes. Doña Pía has had to say goodbye to little Dieguito, who will leave Luján to have a promising future. However, it was not this farewell that has devastated fans of TVE’s star novel.
During today’s episode, the endearing Candela said goodbye to her coworkers. The kitchen assistant took advantage of Pía’s son’s farewell to dedicate a few words to all the palace workers, in a most tender scene.
“I’m also going to leave soon and since I blew your farewell party, this meeting will be worth it for both of us. I wanted to leave without saying goodbye, but I’ll have to say something. To you and Teresa, although I’ve met you recently, I just want tell you that you have become the apple of my eye,” Candela tells Jana and Teresa.
“And to you, Fernández, what do you want me to say, that I love you very much,” the cook added. “I promise you that in Asturias I will try to see life as you see it and I will see it in a beautiful way with a smile,” she exclaimed to her partner María de ella.
“It won’t be difficult for me to remember you Mauro, for being noble and handsome,” he told Mauro. “My Lope, there is no nicer person on earth,” he commented about the talented chef. “As for you Don Rómulo and you Doña Pía, I owe you so much that I think if I started thanking you I would never finish,” the cook concluded through tears. “I feel that they have taken care of me as if I were their blood and I will never get them out of my head.”
After these emotional farewells, Candela took the opportunity to say goodbye to her loyal companion Simona in private: “Since you came into my life you have made it better. And I need you so much that it is difficult for me to imagine what I am going to do when I no longer have you by my side” she began. pointing out Candela.
Although Candela intends to leave Luján to move to Gijón with Don Carlos, his plans could be cut short very soon. The cook has received a letter from the teacher that could turn everything upside down. What will finally happen to Candela? We will see it in the next episode of The Promise.
