More and more people are embarking on the complicated adventure of trying to find love within the four walls of First Dates. On Tuesday night, a new batch of diners showed up to the most romantic space on television with the aim of spending an unparalleled evening and, if possible, going out in the best of company.
One of the dates of the night was the one starring Raúl and Soledad. The 45-year-old bachelor arrived at the restaurant with a guitar and claiming to be “a character.” His passion was music, although he confessed to writing what ”his heart asked”. In love, he had not had much luck, since all of his partners had been unfaithful to him. ”I haven’t fooled anyone,” he said.
His date was Soledad, a 41-year-old single woman who considered herself a “hippie” at heart. ”I have a very neutral personality and I like to adapt a lot to the environments I am in,” she explained. As soon as he entered the place, the bachelor was very happy. ”My goodness, what a girl I got,” he commented. An impression that had nothing to do with Soledad’s: ”He’s not my type, it hasn’t entered my eye, but I know that’s a lapse of seconds. I think people have to be given opportunities.”
After learning about their places of residence, the presenter accompanied the couple to their table, where they began the evening talking about Raúl’s musical side. ”I am now learning to play the Spanish guitar. I love music,” she commented. ”I have a collection of guitars,” he revealed. ”I wouldn’t mind being with a person who was dedicated to the world of music,” the single woman confessed.
For her part, Soledad said that she worked in customer service in stores located in Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz. But even though the single woman had confessed on a couple of occasions where she lived, Raúl messed up again with the location of the single woman. ”She is a forgetful and distracted person,” he said.
At one point during the evening, Soledad was very curious to know how Raúl liked women. ”Let them be like you,” he replied, blushing at her date. ”If you don’t know me,” she declared. ”It’s a little piece of Soledad cotton,” the bachelor asserted. ”I wouldn’t have a second date with Raúl because we are very opposite people and I haven’t had that feeling of initial attraction,” she said.
In the final stretch of the evening, Carlos Sobera introduced the musical performance of one of the diners. However, Raúl, who was very excited to play the guitar live, got up from the table thinking that it was his turn to impress the evening. An action that caused the rapid intervention of the program team, since another of the diners was ready to make the restaurant vibrate.
”It’s not your performance,” one of the twins told her while asking her to go to her table. ”It’s not mine,” the bachelor stressed under Soledad’s attentive gaze. Shortly after, the bachelor demonstrated his skill with the guitar without much success, since the bachelor was more than clear about her response. Therefore, in the final decision, Soledad rejected Raúl because she had not felt a spark. ”It’s been fun at least,” the bachelor replied.
