The case of the murder of Edwin Arrieta allegedly by Daniel Sancho on a Thai island last August continues to be one of the central topics in the vast majority of the media. Almost three months ago we learned that Rodolfo Sancho’s son had confessed to the crime and dismemberment of the Colombian surgeon’s body.

Since then, the Spanish chef has remained in provisional detention in Koh Samui prison awaiting trial. A few weeks ago, the Thai police delivered the official report of the case to the Prosecutor’s Office, where they blamed him for having committed a premeditated crime. A crime that could carry the death penalty.

After several days of uncertainty, where further progress on the case was unknown, this Tuesday we learned that this past Monday began the key week for the case of Daniel Sancho. Furthermore, in a few days we will know if the prosecutor’s office has already decided on the charges that the alleged murderer will face.

The journalist Manuel Marlasca assured this afternoon on the Telecinco TardeAR program that everything indicates that Rodolfo Sancho’s son will continue in provisional prison and that on Monday, according to sources in the case, “he will face a definitive videoconference in which the prosecutor “He’s going to tell you, we’re going to extend your prison sentence or here we have the charges you’re going to face.” The television program also revealed that on Sunday the prosecutor’s office will announce whether it has already decided on the charges that Daniel Sancho will face, and that day ends the deadline they have to submit their report to the judge.

Faced with the imminent decision of the prosecution, the actor Rodolfo Sancho headed back to the Asian country to be by his son’s side. According to Ana Rosa Quintana’s space, the Spanish actor is already on Thai soil, but he had not yet arrived on the island of Koh Samui. Everything indicates that his arrival at the place will take place tomorrow.

”In the next few hours, this reunion between father and son will take place after a month and a half,” said the program’s special envoy. With this new visit, there would be two that the actor has made, since his son remains in Koh Samui prison. Once the prosecutor’s office delivers the report to the judge, he will contact Sancho to appear before him in court. ”He will have to leave prison to go to court and it will be the second time he leaves, after leaving on October 5,” the journalist stated.
