In the city it had more than ten addresses where it registered foreigners in an irregular situation who had arrived from Africa. The arrested person received between 500 and 800 euros for each registration service and charged at least 5,000 euros for arranging a marriage with the aim of obtaining rights as a citizen of the European Union.

The National Police reports that the suspect was in charge of registering illegal immigrants in a network of more than ten homes in the city of Girona.

European.

The investigation, which has had the collaboration of the Girona Municipal Police, remains open and is in the second phase of exploitation, now focused on the section of fraudulent marriages. Further arrests are not ruled out.
