Storm Bernard will continue to affect the Peninsula this Monday and will put several provinces at risk (yellow) or significant risk (orange) due to wind, rain and waves, according to the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet). Heavy rains are expected at first in the Central system, eastern Cantabrian and Pyrenees and locally heavy showers in areas of western Andalusia.

They are also expected to persist in Galicia and Asturias due to the entry of a new front that will cross the Peninsula from west to east during the afternoon, once again leaving rainfall, which will be unlikely in the Levant.

The snow level will be above 2,400 meters in the Pyrenees and 2,000 meters, dropping to 1,600 meters in the Cantabrian mountain range. In the Balearic Islands, intervals of high clouds with a tendency to increase cloudiness, without ruling out some showers with storms at the end, Aemet forecasts.

The wind will blow strongly again this Monday, according to the agency on its website. Intervals of strong wind are expected in the Cantabrian and Mediterranean, with very strong gusts in mountain areas of the central and northern peninsula, tending to subside throughout the day. In the Canary Islands, wind from the north.

Maximum temperatures will increase, even noticeably, in the eastern third of the peninsula and the Balearic Islands. In provinces such as Alicante, Castellón, Girona, Valencia, Murcia or Palma, temperatures will exceed 25 degrees.

On the other hand, thermometers will decrease in Andalusia and the northwest quadrant. In Ávila, Burgos or León, they will not exceed 15 degrees. In Seville, the maximum temperature will remain at 21 degrees, far from the more than 30 that they registered just a few weeks ago. The minimums will also increase in the eastern half.

For Tuesday, the instability caused by the entry of new fronts will continue, which will leave a predominance of cloudy or overcast skies and precipitation in the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands.

On Wednesday, the entry of another Atlantic front is expected to penetrate the Peninsula, leaving a predominance of cloudy or overcast skies in the northwest half of the peninsula, with rainfall in Galicia, more abundant in the southwest of the Community, and with the probability of ending up affecting to the rest of the northwest third.
