Two people were injured this Saturday at noon in Marbella (Málaga) due to the shots they received from three hooded men who fled the scene in two vehicles according to witnesses, sources from the National Police reported. Local media suggest that it could be a settling of accounts.

There is no fear for the lives of the injured, one of whom has three bullet wounds – in an arm, a leg and the pelvis – and the other one – in an arm -, and they remain stable at the Regional Hospital of La Costa. del Sol, as reported by health sources.

Sources from the 112 Andalusia Emergency Coordination Center have stated that around 12:45 p.m. they received several calls alerting them that shots had been heard in the vicinity of the A-7 highway, near the Guadalmina area. The three attackers acted with their faces covered with a hood and fled the scene at high speed aboard a vehicle, reports Diario Sur. After that, several drivers reported that there was a person injured by a firearm on the shoulder, already in the municipality of Estepona, on the border with Marbella, while the second was later found.

At the moment there have been no arrests, police sources have indicated, stating that the National Police is trying to clarify the causes of what happened.

This is not the first time a similar incident has occurred in the area. Last summer, a shooting occurred near the Cristamar Shopping Center, when an individual shot at a restaurant and fled aboard a car in which other individuals were traveling.
