Álvaro Muñoz Escassi has turned 50 and has celebrated in style in Asturias and with his loved ones to welcome a new stage of his life.

The rider has made clear the most important thing in his life in a recent post on Instagram with his wife and daughter: “And what I love for the two of them… how nice to be surrounded by such special people. Thank you”, he has shared.

Yesterday Escassi hosted a busy pre-birthday party that was marked by a dinner banquet that included fabada and other local delicacies.

Today the Asturian tradition has also been accompanied by a musical part, with a band of bagpipers that has enlivened the day and has brought out the typical instruments of the area.

Among those present at the party were Lucía Hoyos, Lara Dibildos, Rocío Martín Berrocal, Jesulín de Ubrique, María José Campanario and Blanca Romero.

Days ago he proudly announced that Asturias was where he wanted to celebrate such a special day: “I love the region, I come a lot. I’m going to celebrate my birthday here, I’ve already told all my friends to pack their bags,” he explained.
