Sant Celoni, in Vallès Oriental, is a privileged town, since it has Montseny and Montnegre at its feet, as can be seen in these views captured for Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia.

Sant Celoni has the peak of Turó d’en Vives in a straight line, within the domains of Parc del Montnegre and Corredor. This natural park is part of the so-called prelittoral mountain range that separates us from our neighbors in the Maresme.

From Sant Celoni, there is a path that takes us inside the well-known Vall d’Olzinelles, which is already inside this natural park. The Montnegre has some “ice well”, fountains, dolmens, among other attractions.

Montnegre could be the alternative to Montseny, since its forests are less crowded and it is more comfortable to visit. I would highly recommend a visit to Montnegre to discover hermitages, farmhouses, the fauna, the flora and perhaps find some mushrooms in autumn.

For its part, Montseny is a symbol of the Catalan region of Valles Oriental. It is a source of pride and satisfaction. This mountain hides within its interior beautiful forests, some small reservoirs, river sources, and many natural attractions.

From the Vallès Oriental region and already inside the natural park, the different roads have viewpoints with very beautiful views. Perhaps, another of its strong points is that in winter it snows on its highest peaks and from Sant Celoni or Santa Maria de Palautordera, you can get close to the snow in a very short time.

Another thing I most recommend is seeing the colors of its beech trees in autumn or its chestnut trees. Without a doubt, it is a beautiful mountain, full of paths to explore that is very close to the towns and, in addition, is easily accessible by road, public transport or on foot.
