Song of Nunu is a new video game from the League of Legends universe, a spin-off story that delves into the characters of Nunu and Willump. Although the franchise belongs to Riot Games, this title has been developed by the Madrid studio Tequila Works, known for games like Rime or Gylt.

Nunu is a young man from the Notai tribe, a species of Eskimos from Runeterra – the world of League of Legends – and Willump is the last yeti from the icy region of Feljord. This curious couple will embark on a journey to find Nunu’s mother. During the 10 hours that the adventure lasts, players will see how the relationship between Nunu and Willump grows and how the bond that unites them is ever greater.

The new Tequila Works is a classic adventure with high doses of exploration, puzzles and action. For most of the journey, players embody Nunu, excellent at solving puzzles and figuring out how to move forward. But things change when there is combat: in these cases, the player begins to control Willump, since the young Notai can’t do anything except throw snowballs.

Nunu and Willump are a League of Legends champion. This means that they are a playable character in Riot Games’ famous MOBA, one of the most played electronic sports in the world. For a few years now, Riot Games has been expanding the League of Legends universe with smaller games that serve as spin-offs and even an animated series for Netflix such as Arcane.

You don’t need to have played League of Legends to enjoy Song of Nunu. In fact, part of the target audience for this game are those people who might like the Runeterra universe, but competitive titles are not their thing. This or, precisely, those veteran League of Legends players who want to know more about Nunu and Willump.

Tequila Works proposes a relaxed and concise experience: a linear story for all audiences with the central idea of enjoying the journey. About 10 hours to get to know this young Notai and the last yeti better, although characters like Braum, Ornn or Lissandra also appear.

Song of Nunu is part of Riot Forge, an initiative by Riot Games in collaboration with independent studios from around the world. In fact, it is part of the A League of Legends Story collection, which also includes titles such as The Mageseeker (developed by the Valencian studio Digital Sun) or Hextech Mayhem.

Song of Nunu arrives today, November 1, on Nintendo Switch and PC, specifically on the digital stores of Steam, the Epic Games Store and Gog.com.
