The Port of Mataró will be the highlight on March 17, 18 and 19 of the first International Boat Show of Catalonia to be held in the port area. The Maresme Regional Council supports and will actively participate in the event.

The agreement signed by the regional president, Francesc Alemany Martínez, and the head of the company promoting the event, Salincat SL, Miquel Iniesta Raventós, establishes the shared will that this event be a catalyst for the promotion of the blue economy in the region , promote the culture of initiation to nautical in the Maresme and serve to advance the sustainability and preservation of the marine environment.

Conceived as a space for meeting and celebrating maritime culture, the International Boat Show of Catalonia is emerging, beyond the mere exhibition of boats, as an epicenter for the exchange of knowledge, innovation and business opportunities. It is in these last aspects that the regional entity considers it necessary to take advantage of synergies and position the region as an enhancer of talent, a driver of innovation and sustainability and a generator of business opportunities around maritime activities. All of this, an opportunity to boost the economy from a sustainable perspective.

The International Boat Show, which will be held in Mataró for the first time, will occupy 8,000 square meters of the port of Mataró. In addition to exhibitor tents, it includes a space for gastronomy and another in which talks and contacts between the sector will take place.
