The Queen has chosen the color red to wear on a morning that passed between the Reina Sofía museum and the Prado museum. Together with the King, Letizia inaugurated the exhibition “Picasso 1906. The great transformation” and, later, she alone traveled to the Prado to attend the presentation of some journalism awards.

Letizia wore a red Carolina Herrera pantsuit, which she combined with a Hugo Boss blouse in a makeup tone and pink patent leather shoes with square heels from the Italian brand Patrizia Pepe. In her latest appearances, the Queen seems to have chosen to lower the height of her heels, reserving stilettos for special occasions due to the ailments that the continued use of high shoes has caused her.

The Kings have toured the different rooms where the 120 works from private collections and art galleries such as the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) and the Metropolitan Museum of Art (Met) in New York are displayed, (Met), the Louvre and the Museum Picasso of Paris or the Prado. All the works date from the year 1906, considered the year of the great transformation of the Malaga painter and the beginning of a new era in the history of art. The exhibition that opens to the public this Wednesday will be active until March 4.

The Kings were accompanied on the visit by the acting Minister of Culture, Miquel Iceta, the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, and the director of the Reina Sofía Museum, Manuel Segade, in addition to the curator of the exhibition, Eugenio Carmona.

After touring the exhibition, Letizia traveled to the Prado Museum where she attended the presentation of the El Mundo International Journalism Awards, which in this edition have honored the work of journalists Carlos Dada, from El Salvador, and Ece Temelkurana, from Turkey, for his defense of freedom of expression and ethical commitment, his “courage and rigor.” Both professionals are exiled from their respective countries, Dada lives in Costa Rica and Ece Temelkuran, in Germany.
