Terelu Campos and Carmen Borrego try to turn the page on the death of their mother, the legendary presenter María Teresa Campos, who died last September at the age of 82 after a long illness. In this difficult process, the daughters have decided to put some of the journalist’s furniture and belongings up for auction.

The Abalarte auction room will be in charge of managing the entire sales process. Starting this Thursday, all the belongings will be displayed for twelve days in the Salamanca sweep in Madrid, so that those interested can see them up close. The bidding will not begin until November 29 and 30.

In total, 831 lots that can be purchased in two different sessions. The prices are not within reach of all budgets, since they range between 300 euros and 1,000 euros, according to Semana magazine. That is their exit cost, because, from there, buyers will be able to bid on them.

Among the objects that will be auctioned starting November 29 and 30, there is an oil painting on canvas measuring 195 x 97 centimeters with a starting price of 950 euros. In the catalog published by the house, we will also find a Victorian-style dumb waiter in mahogany wood for 450 euros.

Buyers will also be able to purchase a Louis XIV-style console in gilded and carved wood with a marble top, which has a starting price of 600 euros, according to this medium. Another small piece of furniture that will go on sale, a pair of side tables in mahogany wood and golden brass. Interested parties will start bidding on them starting at 350 euros.

The daughters of María Teresa Campos assure that they have not made this decision for economic reasons, but because they do not have space to store so many belongings and furniture from their house in Aravaca (Madrid).

“They are pieces of furniture that cost effort and work and that we were not going to put in our house, they are not to be thrown away or wasted,” revealed Alejandra Rubio, granddaughter of the legendary presenter on Telecinco’s Así es la vida.
