The case of Daniel Sancho has taken on special prominence this week. And the trial that will decide the future of Rodolfo Sancho’s son has already begun after being accused of having murdered and dismembered the Colombian surgeon Edwin Arrieta in Thailand. Therefore, it is not surprising that dozens of media outlets have traveled to the scene to capture first-hand statements.

A fact that the judge himself is clear that he does not want to happen and has taken “very serious” measures so that not a single piece of information from the inside is leaked, although he is not succeeding. But where he cannot control the data coming out is from the Koh Samui prison where he is located. And right there the chef has a Catalan friend, from whom his history has come out.

If there is something that Daniel Sancho is passionate about, apart from cooking, it is Muay Thai, also called Thai fighting. And this is exactly what he has in common with Carlos Alcañiz, his best friend in prison, along with another Briton. This man, also known as ‘The Chosen One’, was convicted of stabbing a friend of his to death.

They both worked for the same NGO called ‘The Chosen’, hence the prisoner’s nickname. And it was three years ago when he decided to raid his house and end his life. An event whose reason is not exactly known, but it was speculated that it had something to do with a polyamorous relationship.

Carlos Alcañiz was a resident of Terrassa and had to flee the city in 2005 after running over an elderly woman and fleeing. Since that same year, he began to make repeated trips to Thailand, where he took up residence in 2015. It was in 2020 when he committed the terrible crime in the Asian country.

Some surprising facts, taking into account that the organization he founded, and to which he contributed 3,000 euros, was dedicated to a humanitarian project that helped the people most in need.

As soon as the news of the murder broke, those close to the murderer stated that he suffers from a “mental imbalance.” Trick they used to explain the reasons for the event. Even so, he could not avoid ending up in prison, where he still remains and where he met Daniel Sancho. Given this, he remains to see how it will feel to Rodolfo Sancho that his son makes good friends with this type of people, although he is, presumably, in the same situation.

But if one thing is known, it is that the actor is beginning to be negatively affected by this whole thing. At the beginning of the trial, he appeared somewhat upset before the press. “I treat you with politeness and respect and I expect the same from you, okay? So, please, don’t block my way, let me pass, don’t push me, don’t trip me, don’t step on me, don’t chase me around. the island…”, he stated, visibly angry.
