Seville woke up this Friday with a hangover after a huge party at the Latin Grammy gala. For the first time in its 24-year history, the event, intended to honor the most outstanding artists on the Latin American scene, left the United States to land at the Fibes Congress and Exhibition Palace in the Andalusian capital. A celebration that featured, for the gossip press, two prominent protagonists: Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro.

The Catalan and the Puerto Rican were some of the many artists who took the stage of the gala to delight those present with a musical performance. Rosalía made more than one person’s skin crawl with her performance of Se nos roto el amor, one of Rocío Jurado’s classic songs. For her part, Rauw drew applause from the audience with her version of Se fue, by Laura Pausini. Some songs that many saw as a duel of hints.

However, the situation between the former couple, who broke up at the end of July, gained an unexpected additional note this Friday afternoon. It all started yesterday with a TikTok video by Abel Planelles, the well-known figure in charge of spreading rumors about the world of the heart. In it, he assured the possibility that both would meet on the same plane back to Miami. However, when he connected with Let’s see to go deeper, the situation had taken a turn.

According to the tiktoker, the plane in which Alejandro returned to the United States left the airport at 4:10 p.m. this afternoon. Apparently, either Rosalía herself or someone from her team would have informed her of this situation, so the native of Sant Esteve Sesrovires decided to bring her return forward. The singer changed flights and boarded a little less than an hour earlier, at 3:25 p.m., bound for the capital of the state of Florida.

Planelles insisted that neither of them was aware of this coincidence. A fact even more notable when considering that the mother of San Juan had also traveled to Seville to witness the gala. “I hope they did not coincide on the AVE, because on the AVE there are more constraints than in a business class on an airplane,” Joaquín Prat jokingly noted. Planelles defended the decision due to the discomfort of having to spend 10 hours with someone not related to him.

Beyond this curious coincidence, Rosalía took advantage of the day to thank her team and Rocío Jurado for her performance this Thursday: “Yesterday I sang in Seville surrounded by the best musicians and excited. Thanks to Rocío for being an inspiration from day 1 and to Manuel Alejandro for this wonderful composition, and Jesús Bola for arranging it like this. Thank you Latin Grammys for the opportunity! I leave wanting to stay, but Seville I know I will return to you soon.”
