The week begins and El Hormiguero brings one of the funniest visits to the small screen. With a view to making more than one person laugh on set, Pablo Motos’ program welcomes Laura Pausini this week, one of the program’s most beloved guests.
After winning the Grammy for person of the year, the singer revisits the ants to promote her new album Almas Paralelas. A few weeks ago she had to give up being with Pablo Motos due to a small health problem, but today she will sit with the presenter in a promising evening.
Pablo Motos took the opportunity to ask Pausini about her wedding with musician Paolo Carta, which took place in March of this year: “I was excited to know that after 18 years I wanted to get married,” says Pausini.
The Italian singer did not hesitate to reveal the details of her wedding, which was a total surprise: “It was not a big party, we had said it was a dinner with the family to celebrate my 30th anniversary of my career.”
“I showed up dressed in the same San Remo dress, I was with the guests for an hour and then I showed them a video. While they were watching that video, I hid in the bathroom, put on the wedding dress and called our daughter, “She didn’t know,” says Pausini, who surprised her closest relatives with an unexpected wedding.
Finally, the couple of artists sang ‘Frente anos’, a song from their new album that marked their marriage promises: “Seeing the faces of all my relatives was a wonderful feeling,” says Pausini.
It is not the first time that Laura Pausini visits El Hormiguero. The singer usually visits the program each season, going so far as to reveal the most intimate details, such as the number of people she has slept with.
