Jennifer Lawrence was in charge, this past Tuesday, of opening the Saks Fifth Avenue Christmas windows. The actress attended this event as an ambassador for Dior, the firm in charge of the festive decoration of one of the most important shopping centers in New York. On this occasion, the house opted for a light show inspired by the world of horoscopes and entitled “Carousel of Dreams”.

The event was attended by Delphine Arnault, president of Christian Dior, who gave a short speech. Immediately afterwards, it was the protagonist of The Hunger Games who addressed a few words to the audience, a moment that went viral due to the funny incident that the young woman suffered.

In the middle of the speech, the actress’s belt unbuckled and fell to the ground, an “earth swallow me” moment that made Jennifer put her hands to her face, which caused laughter from those present. “I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry, my belt fell off!” she exclaimed, unable to avoid laughing.

For the occasion, Lawrence wore a ‘total look’ by Dior with the infallible duo of black and white as the protagonist. An outfit consisting of a white shirt that he wore with the collar unbuttoned, a black tulle skirt and a long coat that matched the belt that minutes later was unbuttoned by surprise.

The actress also attracted attention for her wide black headband with which she winked at the style of Blair Waldorf, the iconic Gossip Girl character, and high suede boots with which she joined two of this season’s trends.

This wasn’t the first time Jennifer had an “earth swallow me” moment in public. Ten years ago she starred in one of the most viral moments of the Oscars when they announced her name as Best Actress for her work in The Good Side of Things. Excited and nervous, she stumbled on the stairs.

Another memorable episode was in the summer of 2022, when while walking through New York she crossed paths with a woman wearing the same cream-colored La Garçonne dress. They both laughed at this coincidence, a moment that was captured by the paparazzi who were following the actress.
