In the latest installment of MasterChef Celebrity, the names of the four finalists were announced after the expulsion of Blanca Romero. It was a very exciting evening, since the organization had a surprise for the applicants: being able to see their families through a tablet.

However, one of them, Daniel Illescas, was even able to hug and kiss one of his most important family members. We talked about his grandmother, Carmen. The reunion between them was so special that the influencer revealed one of the most complicated moments in his life where his grandmother was supporting him.

Night of surprises in the final stretch of MasterChef Celebrity. The TVE talent wanted to give his contestants something very special, the message of support from their loved ones. And how? Through a video broadcast through tablets.

In the case of Daniel Illescas, the influencer received the beautiful message from his mother, his brother and his grandmother. “Whatever you set out to do, you achieve,” his mother told him. For his part, his brother assured him how much he surprised him day after day. However, his grandmother’s message touched his heart even more.

This was when Illescas opened up about his family life and the problems they had had. “With my mother… I have been selfish with her. I have not thanked her as she deserves. She has had a bad time in this life,” he began explaining.

And he continued: “She had to go live in the town, she had a complicated separation and my brother went with her and she also had a difficult childhood. Just like when I went with my grandmother, she ate all the problems.”

Of course, the influencer wanted to make it clear that “when I have problems, the first ones I call are my family. They never let me down.” Then came the surprise of the night, the moment when her grandmother Carmen made an appearance on the set, she hugged her grandson and left everyone speechless when she started cooking.

So much so that the judges rated Carmen and her grandson’s dish positively. And, at the end, the young man wanted to thank the old woman: “You have given me a boost of energy to be able to reach the final. You learn a lot from grandmothers. I love you, grandmother.”
