The Civil Guard has identified the body of the woman who appeared this Thursday in the As Gándaras industrial estate, in O Porriño (Pontevedra) and has confirmed that it is a resident of Vigo, Judith M.G., 37 years old, whose disappearance had not been reported.

The woman lived in the Olívic city, in a ‘squatted’ house and, according to the same sources, was in a situation of prostitution. Although it has not yet been revealed how long she could have been dead when her body was found, what is known is that no complaint had been formalized for her disappearance.
The woman’s body was found by chance by a transporter on Thursday afternoon, hidden in an area of ??weeds behind a container and some closing stones of a farm, near the ITV station in the As Gándaras industrial estate. , in O Porrino. Everything indicates, according to investigators, that the woman died elsewhere and was later transferred and “deposited” there.
At first glance, the body showed no visible signs of violence, but the perception changed when it was found that the woman had a piece of cloth, possibly a handkerchief, inside her mouth. The body was dressed in dark clothing and had no belongings or documentation that would allow immediate identification.
Sources of the investigation keep all hypotheses open about the motivation behind this violent death and, although initially a possible case of gender violence was pointed out, these sources have stressed that there is no definitive confirmation in this regard and “it is not ruled out.” nothing”.
Criminalistics agents returned to the scene of the discovery this Friday morning, where they carried out a new visual inspection and from where they took, among other vestiges, the container next to which the body was found, for examination in search of clues that help clarify the circumstances of the death.
Likewise, investigators have been clearing the area near where the body appeared, to clear it and thus be able to access it more easily, since it is an area with vegetation and undergrowth.
The investigating court 3 of O Porriño has taken charge of the investigation. As reported by judicial sources, at the moment, they are waiting to receive the result of the autopsy and the procedures being carried out by the Judicial Police of the Civil Guard, as well as the result of the visual inspection.
On the other hand, the O Porriño City Council has called for a minute of silence at 6 p.m. this Friday in the town’s Arquitecto Antonio Palacios square, as a sign of rejection of the death of this woman. The victim has also been remembered by the mayor of Santiago, Goretti Sanmartín, in her intervention at an event on the occasion of 25-N in the capital of Compostela.
