After the abrupt end of Sálvame and the Deluxe, as well as Cuentos chinos, the relationship between Mediaset España and La factory de la tele, a production company owned one-third by the television group, was completely undermined. So much so, that there is already talk of a possible breakup between both companies and the continuity of The Factory alone, without the participation of Mediaset and taking advantage of the pull of Sálvese who can on Netflix.
If this is true, the owners of Telecinco and Cuatro will have to make a decision about the future of the three programs that the production company still broadcasts on its networks: Todo es Lie, Viajando con Chester and Socialité. The host of the latter, María Patiño, has spoken about the continuity of the format beyond December 31, the date on which the end of the relationship between Mediaset and La Fábrica de la TV could occur.
“Officially we don’t know anything,” he said in an interview for Readings about the information regarding the future of Socialité on the Telecinco grid. It is precisely until December that Patiño maintains his contract with La factory de la tele, and also reveals that he has received various job offers as a result of the cancellation of Sálvame.
“I love live music and I don’t know if I’ll be able to continue doing it or not,” he added later. The presenter has also dropped that there could be a second season of Every Man for Himself, after the premiere of the episodes that have yet to be discovered from the first, and which, as has been announced, will arrive on Netflix in January 2024.
Along with these statements, María Patiño has revealed that she was on the verge of not being part of the cast of the new version of Sálvame for the video platform. The reason is that the journalist would be too tired after having replaced Jorge Javier Vázquez during his medical leave, in the last programs on Telecinco del Diario and Deluxe.
Finally, the Galician communicator agreed to travel to Miami with her colleagues from the program, whom she also spoke about in her interview with Lecturas. Patiño had special words for Terelu Campos, of whom she says, with some sarcasm, that she “talks like a fool”: “They tell me that I talk too long, but she…” she responded.
